🌸 Uttarbasti Procedure

1. Purvakarma (Pre-procedure)

• Patient assessment and counselling
• Local Abhyanga (oil massage) around lower abdomen and back
• Mild Swedana (steam) if needed
• Bladder emptied before procedure
• Procedure done under aseptic, hygienic conditions

2. Pradhankarma (Main Procedure):

• Patient lies in supine position with legs folded
• Sterile, lukewarm medicated oil/ghee instilled into uterus or vaginal canal using a sterile syringe or catheter
• Dose: 2–5 ml (as per condition)
• Patient rests 10–15 minutes post-instillation

3. Paschatkarma (Post-procedure):

• Short rest after procedure
• Light diet, avoid cold, exertion, or intercourse for 1–2 days
• No heavy work or travel
• Repeat sessions: 3–7 sittings as advised
